Questions

Questions about this page

What does the equity fundamental analysis programme teach?

It works down from the cycle to the company: the global business cycle and country selection, macro data (GDP, unemployment, CPI and PPI, current account, industrial production, PMI, consumer confidence), reading the balance sheet and income statement, annualising, horizontal and vertical analysis, sector analysis, liquidity, financial structure, turnover and profitability ratios, capital increases and valuation ratios (EBITDA, P/E, P/B), with practice in Matriks and Excel.

What is the difference between fundamental and technical analysis?

Fundamental analysis decides WHAT you invest in; technical analysis decides WHEN you buy and sell. Neither replaces the other. In this curriculum fundamentals come before technicals: first which company, then which moment.

Can someone who cannot read a balance sheet take this programme?

Yes — an introduction to the balance sheet and the income statement is part of the programme. The prerequisite is not accounting knowledge but the market concepts from the financial literacy programme (FOYE): P/E, market value, book value, rights and bonus issues and dividends are established there.
